Development Progress :
Keris dan Tongkat Tok Belalang

Before Starting modeling, I was given a Concept Art that was given from my mentor to model the character weapon which is the "Tongkat" and "Keris" of Tok Belalang. Both Weapons made of wood along with the sheath and the Dagger has a unique texture on the surface of the blade.

After Receiving the concept art, Find the right references for the object or buildings on the internet to model the model it the exact shape of the object from the Concept Art and amend the right size of the model.

After modeling the shape of the objects or buildings, Start Uv Unwrapping the models before importing the models into Substance painter to texture. To Uv Unwrap, simply add a UV Unwrap modifier at the model settings and start unwrapping the model. It is optional to colour texturing the model by export the UV Unwrap and import into Adobe Photoshop/Adobe Illustrator the import back into 3Ds max to insert the colour UV unwrap at the certain part of the model.

Once UV unwrapping the models, Export the models as FBX then import it into Substance Painter. Before Texturing the model, Start baking the model and set it to 2K to avoid  having a big file when baking the model then start texturing the model. Some model needed a two seperates textures  on a single model, Mask the individuals faces of the model and texture two different faces of the model. Once finish texturing the model. Export the texture by Using the Export Template called Arnold, use a JPEG for the texture maps and the Size is no less than 2K or Below then export the texture into a its folder .

Once Export the Textures into a folder, Import the Texture into 3Ds Max and insert into the Material Editor and material settings from Physical Material to Standard Legacy followed by the company development then import the Texture maps into the Material maps. After inserting the Texture maps into the material editor, Start rendering the Model scene to check the model is not distorted and can be used in the game, Use the Scanline Renderer to render the model.
